I found, now long ago, a book (Jean Perrot, Fernado Fau, 30 Histories and images in san paroles raconter par les Petits , Librairie Classique Fernado Nathan, Paris, without specifying the time of printing but I would say the early twentieth century) that shows how the proposals could be teaching the close relationship between image and narrative. The idea presented, but it is most likely an emphasis on advertising throughout nature, is referred to as a milestone: the proposal is to tell stories from thirty images (or groups of images). The aim of education is apparent, as well as by the references to everyday life, by "virtue" that the stories they would like to submit (and promote): kindness, care, cleanliness, honesty, generosity, courage .... These "virtues" are obviously conflicting stories with the negative consequences associated with "vices" such as disobedience, rudeness ... The idea in itself is very simple, although the fact that the book in question has reached its twelfth edition shows it somewhat effective.
Certainly the first to think in theoretical terms using education of the images and the relationship between image and narrative, it is important to grasp in terms of historical evolution.
